Webb-LogoWebb Elementary School serves more than 280 students from Grades K-4. One of five elementary schools in the Franklin Community Schools system, we offer a broad and comprehensive understanding of knowledge and skills based on the Indiana Academic State Standards. These standards provide the master plan for learning.

Students receive a balance of learning experiences in the academic areas of English language arts, mathematics, social studies and citizenship, visual arts and music, health and wellness and physical education, adapted as necessary.

They also learn to use technology to solve problems related to home, school, community and workplace; and develop skills useful in performing individual and family responsibilities - preparing them for success in middle school.

Carolyn Ray l Webb Elementary SchoolI am excited to serve as Webb's principal! Before beginning this role, I served as an instructional coach and elementary teacher within Franklin Community Schools. Education is a passion of mine, as I come from a family of educators. I have had the privilege of teaching students in various primary and secondary positions. I have a firm belief that all students are capable of learning at high levels when we give them the resources and encouragement they need to achieve their goals.

My husband, Justin, and I have four children. We have two girls, Aubrey and Addalyn, and two boys, Kellen and Knox. We love to spend our time together exploring all that Franklin has to offer. Often,  you will spot us walking downtown, attending the Farmer’s Market or local festivals, and spending our evenings at a high school sporting event.

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with a Secondary English endorsement from Franklin College in 2011. I then received my Master of Education in School Administration from Ball State University in 2015.

I am looking forward to continuing to build upon the rich history and traditions of Webb Elementary through building solid relationships with students, parents, and our supporting community. I am excited to show students that through hard work, determination, and positive attitudes, great happens here.

Webb School Improvement Plan

The Indiana Department of Education empowers Indiana’s families, educators, school administrators and community leaders with a learner-centered, future-focused dashboard that displays how our students are building necessary knowledge and skills — in all grades and all schools — through the Indiana GPS dashboard.

I have been a school counselor for 24 years and I absolutely love my job. I have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Taylor University and a Master's in School Counseling from Butler University. I have worked in three school districts and seven elementary schools, with one 13-year pause to be a mom at home.

My husband and I have four adult sons and two rescued fox terriers who keep us on our toes! We enjoy biking, hiking, a little pickleball, Artcraft popcorn and traveling to National Parks. We both love the Franklin schools and community, and enjoy being out and about, participating in all they have to offer. We hope you stop us to say "hello"!

I appreciate my role on the Webb team, as a support for students, families and staff. My focus is on the healthy development of our students in the areas of academics, college and career readiness, and interpersonal and self-management skills. I also help address student needs, to allow them to be optimally available to learn. I love building relationships with our families, and seeing students grow into happy, kind and successful citizens. I work closely with parents - my door is always open!
