Needham Elementary School serves 330 students from Grades K-4. One of five elementary schools in the Franklin Community Schools system, we offer a broad and comprehensive understanding of knowledge and skills based on the Indiana Academic State Standards. These standards provide the master plan for learning.
Students receive a balance of learning experiences in the academic areas of English language arts, mathematics, social studies and citizenship, visual arts and music, health and wellness and physical education, adapted as necessary.
They also learn to use technology to solve problems related to home, school, community and workplace; and develop skills useful in performing individual and family responsibilities - preparing them for success in middle school.

Welcome to Needham! On behalf of the Needham School Community, I would like to welcome you to the 2026-2027 school year.
We have a lot of exciting things continuing to grow at Needham and the long-standing traditions to make Needham as great of a school as it has ever been! This year are are celebrating 100 years of Needham Elementary School! The original building opened in the fall of 1924 in the Let’s go Bulldogs!
