Franklin Community High School senior, Marnie Moore, has been named a 2026 Lilly Endowment Community Scholar, one of the most prestigious scholarships awarded to Indiana students.
Lilly Endowment Community Scholars are selected based on their academic achievement, leadership, character, and commitment to community involvement.
“I am extremely excited and grateful to be named a Lilly Endowment Scholar in Johnson County,” the senior shared. “All of the constant support I have received from this town is what has motivated me and made this scholarship possible for me. I am so honored to represent Franklin Schools as another Lilly Scholar, and I look forward to the opportunities it will bring me.”
Throughout her school career, Marnie has been actively involved both in and outside the classroom, demonstrating a strong commitment to leadership, service and personal growth. Her involvement includes the Franklin Mayor’s Youth Leadership Council, Interact Club, Varsity Tennis team, Harvard Model Congress, Cubs to Grizzlies Mentor Program, National Honor Society and a high school business internship at Endress+Hauser.
“The mix of student organizations, athletics, mentoring, and professional experiences that Marnie has been involved with has helped shape her into a thoughtful leader with a strong sense of responsibility and purpose, well prepared for the opportunities ahead,” said Dr. David Clendening, Superintendent. “She is well deserving of this recognition and will represent Franklin Community Schools with excellence as she continues her journey beyond high school.”
Following graduation, Marnie plans to pursue a degree in Business, with future plans to attend either Indiana University Bloomington or the University of Notre Dame.
