Deryck Ramey is in his fourth year at Franklin Community Schools and is the grades 5-8 Instructional Coach for the corporation. Before this role he taught 3rd and 4th grades and 6th grade math and science. Deryck also supports teachers through his role as Facilitator of Instructional Technology and has presented and keynoted multiple technology conferences around the state of Indiana. He holds a Master's degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Ball State University and completed his Building Level Administrator License in 2015.
As an instructional coach Deryck has the privilege to work with and support both new and experienced teachers in the district. Increasing student engagement and increasing critical thinking in the classroom are just two areas in which Deryck has keen interest. An avid reader, he enjoys sharing educational research resources with teachers and colleagues. Deryck believes that to be truly successful we must engage, empower, and enable our students and teachers.
Deryck lives in Franklin with his wife Mandy, two kids Landon and Eleanor, and their dog Sam.
